Tudor Hall School joins Mill Hill Education Group
Tudor Hall has today announced a significant development in the history of our School. Following agreement by the Governors and fully supported by the Headmistress and the Strategic Business Group, Tudor Hall is joining Mill Hill Education Group – a well-established and successful charitable group of schools whose ethos and ambition closely align with Tudor’s own.
The partnership represents the coming together of two values-led educational charities committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities while preserving the distinctive identity and ethos of each school.
Today’s announcement comes after an extended period of careful planning. Through the strength and stability of a wider group, this underpins our commitment to ensuring Tudor Hall flourishes in the long term.
This is not a commercial sale or profit-driven transaction. Tudor Hall will retain its identity, values, and its distinct educational philosophy and character as a leading all girls’ boarding and day school.
Julie Lodrick, Headmistress of Tudor Hall School, said:
"This charitable merger represents a proactive step taken from a strong position to secure our long-term vision and ambition for the future. We are delighted Tudor is joining a well-established, respected educational charity, whose values and ethos closely align with our own, underpinning our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities and empowering every girl to flourish."
Jennifer Scarfe, Acting Chair of Governors at Tudor Hall School, said:
"The partnership with Mill Hill Education Group brings additional opportunity, collaboration and resilience that come from being part of a values-led charitable school group. At Tudor Hall, it will enhance long-term stability while retaining our distinct identity, leadership and character as a leading all girls' boarding and day school."
Antony Spencer, CEO, Mill Hill Education Group, said:
"Tudor Hall has built an outstanding reputation over 175 years for providing an exceptional education for girls, underpinned by a deep commitment to pastoral care, individuality and helping every girl to flourish. What impressed us most throughout our discussions was the strength of Tudor Hall's sense of purpose and the clarity of its values. As one of the country's largest charitable groups of schools, our role is not to change what makes each school distinctive, but to protect and strengthen it for future generations. We are proud to welcome Tudor Hall into Mill Hill Education Group and excited about what we will achieve together in the years ahead."
Mill Hill Education Group has an established record of successful partnerships with schools, each of which retains its own identity and leadership while benefiting from the strength of the wider group.
The merger is expected to complete in Autumn 2026, following final legal and regulatory processes.
