Around 15% of our pupils are from overseas, choosing to join Tudor Hall for our exceptional, and quintessentially British, all-girls' boarding education.

Welcome

Joining Tudor Hall from overseas

We welcome international pupils who wish to immerse themselves in Tudor Hall life, develop their intellectual potential and wider interests and who are enthusiastic about experiencing all that our quintessentially British boarding school has to offer.

Around 15% of boarders at Tudor Hall are from overseas. Unlike a great many UK boarding schools, we do not have large cohorts from any particular country or region, but our community includes small numbers representing a plethora of countries and nationalities from across the world, from France to Brazil, Spain to Japan, Hong Kong to Ukraine.

International boarders generally join our school at age 11+ (Year 7), 13+ (Year 9) and at 16+ into the Sixth Form (Year 12). We welcome applications for Year 8 or Year 10 dependent on places being available in those year groups.

Most girls at Tudor are full boarders (more than 170+ full boarders), ensuring that the boarding ethos runs through every aspect of school life, and that boarding houses are bustling with girls throughout each term.

Short term (one-term or two-term) international boarding places may be available in some year groups; please enquire.

How to apply to Tudor Hall as an international pupil

We welcome visits from prospective international students at any point during the school year while school is open. Alternatively, our Headmistress and Deputy Heads are happy to 'meet' families and girls by video call in the first instance.

Entrance tests to ascertain proficiency in English and Maths can be undertaken by arrangement in your home country.

Our Admissions team will support you through the international pupil application process, the elements of which are:

  • Enquire and register
  • Assessment
  • Interview
  • Offer
  • Acceptance of offer
  • Guardian arrangements
  • CAS application (where necessary)

Tudor's full boarding ethos offers a true second home to our international pupils. We look forward to seeing you soon.
