Nanette Godfrey Lecture: Alexandra Tolstoy, 12th June
Anglo-Russian author, adventurer and broadcaster Alexandra Tolstoy is delivering our next NG lecture at Tudor, on Friday 12th June, 7pm.
She has ridden the Silk Road by horse and camel, has presented the BBC television series 'Horse People with Alexandra Tolstoy' and organises riding journeys in Kyrgystan.
Alexandra will speak about the importance of learning for its own sake, and about how resilience, judgement and independence are often developed through experiencing uncertainty.
The Nanette Godfrey lecture series, named for a former Headmistress of the school, invites notable speakers to Tudor; previous speakers include broadcast journalist Rageh Omar, author and broadcaster Dominic Sandbrook, former GB track athlete Anyika Onuora, New Zealand chef and restaurateur Chantelle Nicholas, and shark conservationist and stunt diver Liz Parkinson.
To reserve a place at this event, please email: marketing@tudorhallschool.com with full names of attendees.
