Aside from the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Tudor in Three Continents trips the Sixth Form girls also have the opportunity to apply for the Warriors Accelerated Scholarship Program (WASP). This intensive trip to South Africa was developed jointly between Tudor Hall and the Warriors Academy. The WASP usually runs in both the October and February half-terms with the scholarship limited to up to six students per trip.
The intensive week of activities is designed to contribute towards personal growth and development and is run solely by the Warriors Academy team of facilitators with no teaching staff involved from participating schools. The activities, ranging from skydiving to public speaking and from giant bridge leaps to animal encounters, are non-stop and all are underpinned by Covey’s ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens’ which they learn about throughout their time in South Africa.
