Our Senior Play transports audience to 18th Century Australia

Senior play ‘Our Country's Good’ opened to the Tudor Hall community, with consistently captivating performances which blew us all away.

Transported to Australia, in 1788 with the First Fleet of convicts, the audience witnesses their struggles as they adapt to the punishing conditions. Based on true accounts from an officer's diary the play charts the harrowing punishment endured by petty criminals and how one tenacious lieutenant decides to put on a play in an attempt to educate the convicts.

Stellar performances from our Senior cast who played varying strong characters; rough, loveable and complex and a brilliant round set design enabled a more immersive experience for cast and audience alike. Contributing to the play, we also saw exquisite jewellery designed by our IIIs in their DT lessons which lifted the costume design.

The play has also been a wonderful way to further our community links as we have welcomed Sam from The Warriner School to the stage who headed up the cast in the role of Lieutenant Clarke.

Warmest Congratulations to all the cast for their outstanding performances.
