Rise in top GCSE results at Tudor Hall
Congratulations to our Vs cohort, who can celebrate some excellent GCSE results, released today. The number of Tudor girls who have attained Grades 9-7 in all their subjects has risen, with 43% of all grades at this level, nearly twice the national average (22%). A fantastic 28% of all grades at Tudor are at 9 or 8, with a number of girls having achieved seven or more GCSEs at Grade 9 or 8.
Over 50% of girls who took English, French, History, Art, Drama, Religious Studies, and Food & Nutrition GCSEs achieved Grades 9-7. This is a wonderful reflection of the high standard of teaching as well as the breadth and flexibility of subject choice at Tudor.
At Tudor, girls can sit their GCSE Maths a year early (ie. in IVs rather than Vs) and 100% of the IVs who did this have achieved a Grade 9 or 8.
Importantly, the grades attained by this Vs cohort are higher than those predicted by their original baseline assessments; this underpins the immense value-added uplift that a Tudor Hall education facilitates. It is also further evidence of the impact that being a High Performance Learning school is having on our teaching and learning; we are on track to be accredited as a World Class School in the coming months.
Headmistress, Julie Lodrick commented: “The wonderful results across a broad range of subjects reflect our Vs girls' impressive range of interests and their ability to achieve success that exceeds expectations. Among the cohort, there are a number of individuals who have faced significant personal challenges, and we are so proud of what they have achieved. This is testament not only to the exceptional care and dedicated, timely support girls are given at Tudor, but also to their resilience and perseverance.
These results are also an excellent reflection of the commitment and hard work of the staff who have steered the girls throughout their Tudor journey so far. We wish them success and happiness as they embark on their Sixth Form studies, and we have every confidence that they will flourish in all aspects of school life.”
Individual success
Serafina, who is celebrating achieving nine Grade 9s and one Grade 8, said: "I'm positively delighted with my grades and so pleased that the effort I put in paid off. Upon receiving her excellent grades, Vs pupil Kitty said: "I am very pleased with my results. I have done better than I ever could've hoped for and I was just shocked when I opened them this morning. My teachers at school have been beyond supportive and I couldn't thank them enough!"
Fellow Vs pupil Bea, said : "Everyone said, 'Hard work pays off'. I can't believe it actually does! My teachers support and my friends’ determination gave me the inspiration to lock in. Thanks everyone at Tudor Hall. I couldn’t have done it without you."
