All new girls are assessed to see if they are likely to need any extra learning support.
Girls can come to the department at any time if they feel they need help, and parents or teachers can refer girls. Parents are always consulted before a girl is seen. We sometimes recommend that a girl sees an educational psychologist or other professional for a more extensive assessment. This often helps uncover abilities which may be masked by a learning difficulty.
Girls receive extra lessons and guidance on literacy, numeracy, study skills, revision planning, time management and examination technique.
