On a frosty Tuesday morning the juniors collected their Christingles that they had made in their recent Cookery lesson and attended a service in candlelight.
The Christingle represents four things: The orange is the World; The candle in the middle is Jesus - the Light of the world - and the raisins on sticks represent the four seasons (or north, south, east and west). The red band around the middle is the blood of Christ. |
The Christingles were lit as the service began. Todd sang Star Child and there were reading and prayers led by Dr Jackson the school's Chaplain. |
