Christingle service

On a frosty Tuesday morning the juniors collected their Christingles that they had made in their recent Cookery lesson and attended a service in candlelight.

The Christingle represents four things: The orange is the World; The candle in the middle is Jesus - the Light of the world - and the raisins on sticks represent the four seasons (or north, south, east and west). The red band around the middle is the blood of Christ.

The Christingles were lit as the service began. Todd sang Star Child and there were reading and prayers led by Dr Jackson the school's Chaplain.
