Tudor Hall School Website: About the School Catering Department News
The dining room has been open for nearly six months and everyone is so indulged we have forgotten where we used to eat! It is a fabulous building and just looking at it from the outside does not do it justice!
The circular main eating room has a wonderful wall of windows where the sun streams in at this time of year.
The acoustics mean that everything is so quiet it feels like you’re dining alone or in a small group.
Prawn Cocktail is a favourite starter dish
Preparation
Linda Tubb, catering manager invited me to look around the much-improved kitchen and severy, store rooms, shop and laundry rooms. I was really impressed with the range of prepared food ready to serve that day. There was an array of salad selections, at least one vegetarian dish and two choices of hot food. You can also have soup, chili con carne or a jacket potato if you just fancy a snack.

Mrs Tubb's new shop
The shop is open to pupils where all essentials are for sale plus snacks and drinks, stationary and greeting cards. Money is put onto a type of ‘credit card’ for each pupil at the discretion of her parents and she is then able to hand the card over to pay for her goods.
The shop caters for everyone

Ample room for food stocks
The fish looked succulent today and the prawn cocktail is one of my personal favourites. I now have to decide which dessert to choose from – I could be here all day.

Many thanks go to Linda Tubb for sparing her busy lunch time to show me around and to all her staff.
