SUPPORT
All day girls will have a group tutor who is directly responsible for all aspects of their care. They will also be a member of either York, Tudor, Lancaster or Stuart and can take their troubles or worries to their Head of House. They are welcome to speak to any member of staff with whom they feel comfortable.
DELIVERY AND CHECK IN
We must, by law, check in all our day girls twice a day. Girls arrive by 08.25 a.m. and go to registration in their Group Rooms. They return to their group rooms at 1.50pm for afternoon registration.
DEPARTURE
Girls are collected at 6.30p.m. except in the event of late returns from theatres, matches, concerts, etc.
OVERNIGHT STAYS
Arrangements can be made with the residential housemistresses for occasional overnight stays if space is available in the house concerned. A reasonable charge will be made for this. We will try our very best to find space for day girls during very bad weather but we are not able to operate a system of regular flexi-boarding.
CHANGE TO BOARDING
Younger girls who would like to become boarders should notify the school as soon as possible, but particularly before the 13+ entry is considered in February. Sometimes, sadly, we have no places and girls can be disappointed.
