Primary Schools day, June 2008

Our second primary schools’ activities day was a busy, entertaining, interesting and fulfilling day. Two schools, Bloxham Church of England Primary School and Shenington Primary School, brought with their Year 5 classes to Tudor to undertake a programme of activities that the children would be unlikely to experience under the National Curriculum. These included taster lessons in French and Spanish, cooking delicious chocolate chip cupcakes, jelly bean engineering, choral singing, hands-on history and a host of other activities organised by the inventive Tudor Hall staff.

The children were looked after by VIth Formers and spent the whole day here, eating lunch in the dining hall, playing football in the walled garden and being bussed in and out. Tudor staff thoroughly enjoyed teaching a different age group and one of the VIth Formers asked whether we could do this every week! The letters from the children speak for themselves and this looks like becoming a fixture in the Tudor Hall outreach programme.
