In the recent London Marathon, English teacher Mrs Hirst took part for the third time. The first time she ran the London Marathon she pulled a muscle and had to limp around the last 6 miles, and the second time was in Paris in 2007 when temperatures soared to 32 degrees! So it was third time lucky as she knocked half an hour off her best time and finished in 4 hours and 6 minutes.

More recently at the beginning of June, Mrs Jones, Director of Sports, took part in the Female Super Sprint Triathlon at Blenheim Palace in order to raise money for our link school, the Ebeneezer Living World Matriculation School in Chennai, India. She completed the course, a 400 m swim in the Blenheim lake, a 13.9 km bike ride and a 2.9 km run, in 1 hour and 4 minutes and came 31st out of 190 athletes.
Well done to both of you! |
