IIs' trip to Paris

On March 14th 2008 we set off on a combined maths and French trip to Paris. When we reached the Euro tunnel (La Manche),the students, teachers, and the coach driver got off stretching their stiff, tired legs. The tunnel was amazing; even though we descended beneath the sea bed we felt nothing! We shortly arrived at Calais and at 7:00 pm Paris time we arrived at the hotel. |

After a good night’s sleep and a filling breakfast, we set off for the maths exhibition at the Museum of Science. The museum was excellent and full of exciting, interactive exhibits which certainly made maths fun! After we had finished in the museum, we headed out to see the Arc de Triomphe and The Louvre Palace which now has an enormous glass pyramid as the reception area to the gallery. After our meal, full and revived, we went on a cruise down the Seine, where we were able to see many very interesting sights without moving! The highlight of the trip must have been the evening trip round Paris where we were able to see the city lit up and the light show at the Eiffel Tower. |

It was a wonderful trip and something we will never forget. Thanks to Mrs Gibbard, Miss Wormell, Mrs Boyns, Mme Keyte and Mme Stobbart who gave up their time to take us there.
