Horse Riding at Pitten Hill
Printer friendly page Email this article

On a Monday evening there is a group of girls who go horse riding. It
is held at Pitten Hill where we have a teacher called Joy teach us how to ride. It really helps you to improve your riding and gives the borders a chance to ride if we usually ride at home. There are lots of horses to choose from, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider and you get to choose which horse you want to ride as long as it is suitable for you. There are two different groups, one is the earlier group, which is at 4:20pm for the beginners and the younger years and the next one at 5:15, which is for the experienced, and the older ones.
We can warm up by our selves and then we join to become a ride. We usually jump at the end and you can choose how high you want to jump or if you don’t want to you don’t have to. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Joy is a friendly teacher so if you feel a bit worried about the horse you are riding then you can ask her for some help. You usually learn a lot of new things that will help you to ride. The people who go at the moment are really nice people so you would really enjoy it. Most of all we have a good time and enjoy ourselves and we all really like the horses and ponies.
