In the News, Banbury Guardian - 4th January 2007

Students and staff at Tudor Hall School, are celebrating raising more than £2,000 for good causes this term.
Events they have run include Wear It Pink Day in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign, a fun maths day for the NSPCC, a sponsored music practice-a-thon for children's cancer charity Clic Sargent and a doughnut sale in support of young people's homelessness charity BYHP.
Pupils also put together Christmas hampers for the Banburyshire community.
School charity co-ordinator Lesley Evans said: "We hear so many bad things about young people today that it is important to remember just how wonderful they can also be.
"Many young people care deeply about social issues and realise that it is important to think about the needs of others."

The lucky two teachers involved with our first trip to Chennai......
John Murphy, Head of Physics

Suzi Rogers, Geography teacher

Upcoming Charity events include a trip to Chennai, Madras, where two lucky members of staff and two sixth form pupils will go to the Ebenezer Living Word Matriculation School in half term.
Once there, the pupils and staff will give the children some fun arts and crafts lessons to give them a chance to do something they have never had the chance to do before. There will be lots of teamwork involved, which Tudor excels at, so it will be a very valuable experience for all involved. We wish them luck.
